It is not the simple statement of facts that ushers in freedom; it is the constant repetition of them that has this liberating effect. Tolerance is not the result of enlightenment, but boredom.

On hearing of the death of anyone I have known well, I have usually experienced a slight thrill of pleasure. Another witness to my stupidity or weakness has been silenced.

"Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag them down to your level."

"At one time I imagined my sexual abnormality constituted the whole of my difference from other people; later I decided that the rift was caused by my exalted views on love. Finally I saw that these two causes were interdependent. Universal love goes with masturbation."

Och jag har slängt mig med denna:

"Health consists of having the same diseases as one's neighbors."

Anonym sa...

"It's no good running a pig farm badly for 30 years while saying, 'Really, I was meant to be a ballet dancer.' By then, pigs will be your style. "
